I saw a YouTube video regarding the DCM fuse. Remove the DCM fuse, this is linked to the Subaru Starlink App that isn’t functional in the UK. When the engine is off the App continues to search for a link causing a continuous draw on the battery. Since removing the fuse I have had no further battery issues, even with the existing battery which is well below par due to the constant drainage and no other problems. Previously, I couldn’t leave the car for more than 3 days and even then it would struggle to turn over. Subaru dealers won’t take any responsibility probably because they’re making a fortune selling batteries to customers. They tried it with me when my Forester was in for service. I told them I was aware of the problem and the service manager then said a new battery would be probably be dead anyway if left for over a week due to the drainage problem. Absolute con!
