  1. Will the code come up even if the light isn't on? Is there sort of a history thing?
  2. My 06 2.0l Forester with 155000km has died on me twice now. The first time was a couple of months ago in winter (I live in New Zealand) after I was pushing it on a dirt road for maybe half an hour then 5 minutes into driving on a sealed road and the second was today just driving on sealed road with no extreme temperature or driving. When the issue occurs my check engine light comes on and I loose almost all control of my revs. I might get a slight increase but it keeps dropping until I pull over. After turning the car off and on again immediately, my starter motor will just try and try to get the engine going. After I lift the bonnet and look for leaks or anything visible etc for a few minutes I turn the car on again and it starts fine. No issues after as far as I'm aware. Both times the temperature gauge has shown my usual temperature. Any thoughts on what's wrong or what steps I should take next? Cheers, Lachie
  3. It's smooth plastic the whole way around the inside so I don't think so. It's too small to even put a piece of chewing gum in so i don't know what could even fit in there with a purpose.
  4. As the title suggests, what is this thing? Tactile push in to pull out function. Photos attached.
  5. Thoughts on what to do about it? Is the current switchboard able to be taken apart to have the contacts fixed or do I need to buy a new one. I've attempted to do a practice run on a control board that the previous owner tried to use but was for a slightly different model. Also able to put a photo of the plug in now. Would it just be easier to bridge the two pins responsible for the up function to test whether alright it is the switches fault so I don't end up buying a new one and have it do the same thing.
  6. Unfortunately Im unable to insert a photo but after replacing both the front window motors as they were completely dead, the passenger side window works perfectly, however, my drivers side window goes down well but when I pull up on the switch it goes up about an inch and then stops so I have to keep pulling the switch to get it to the top. As it's not the motor that is responsible I'm assuming it's the switch mainly because the passenger side works fine. To test if it's the panel I need to know which pins in the cable are responsible for the drivers side window function. The connector is the one that resembles an elongated U and is the biggest of the three. Any help is much appreciated. Many thanks, Lachie
