    Thanks guys for the replies I spoke to my mechanic and the engine will probably be fried so rather than chucking money at The Little Green Mud Bug for a replacement engine I am looking at buying a different vehicle now

    I had a disaster today with my 04 SG the clip on bottom rad pipe failed not sure how far I traveled as only noticed when the heater was blowing cold and then I saw the temp needle was through the roof I got towed home thankfully to the AA but now dreading what damage has been done as she is blowing like Thomas the Tank Engine . Has anyone any idea of the cost to have repaired / thanks
