  1. Hello Linx, Thanks for this: do you need to undo the crank pulley to change the cambelt? Kind regards & have a great weekend, Forncett
  2. Thanks Linx, I've been recommended this: https://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/collections/subaru-impreza-2006-2007-service-items/products/rcm-genuine-timing-belt-water-pump-combo-kit-2002my-ej20-22-25 which you will notice does not include camshaft pulleys that cost ~£200. With respect to replacing these, I'm informed elsewhere: depends on exact age but various cars use a Bakelite type material for pulleys and these can be damaged due to mishandling, etc......IMO its an inspection type issue rather than a requirement per se which should you need to replace these things raises the question, how to prevent the camshafts moving? There must be a special tool for this but I can't identify one?
  3. Hello forum, Firstly, does anyone know if US and UK cambelts differ? Reason being that US WRX/STi models have mandatory replacement at 105,000 miles or 105 months which is I believe a legal requirement for US vehicles. Secondly, Roger Clark Motorsport recently told me that in addition to replacing the cambelt at UK recommended intervals, I should also change the cambelt pulleys. I've never seen or heard of this before so would be grateful for any insight that members better informed than me can provide!
