  1. Great to hear, and thanks for posting the update - pleased your new purchase is living up to expectations 🙂
  2. I've got a Field spec, and it's pretty well equipped. The Touring is similar but adds the following: memory seats (with Nappa leather), sunroof, front and side cameras, Harmon Kardon stereo, plus one or two other things I can't remember at the moment.
  3. Looks fantastic, thanks for posting - I'm biased as mine is the same colour 🙂
  4. Excellent news Greyman, would love to see some pictures when you get the chance too 🙂
  5. Absolutely, I had a GT, 156 GTA, 147 and then another GT (3.2 V6) - yes, definitely one for building character 😄😎 Me too, the mechanical bits were generally reliable, main issues for me were also electrical or sensor related, which I guess can happen on most cars - maybe some of the previous owners weren't as diligent about maintenance as I was. I also went Japanese after that, with a very decent Lexus RX. Very happy with my Outback now though, does everything I need it to do 🙂👍
  6. Me too, I had 4 of them over the years (gluten for punishment maybe! 😄), but no major issues on any of them, at least I was never stranded anywhere. Thanks for the in-depth review norfolkRX, very interesting summry 👍

Hi Tony, welcome to the forums and congrats on your 1st Subaru. I think the following should fit your XV: https://subaru.co.uk/accessories/splash-guards-front-j1010fl221 https://subaru.co.uk/accessories/splash-guards-rear-j1010fl204
  8. Halfords now seem to stock a set of Bosch wipers that would fit your Outback model year: https://www.halfords.com/motoring/wiper-blades/bosch-aerotwin-wiper-blade-set-a399s-220995.html
  9. The thread below seems to give some good details on Outback reliability. Overall I would say the petrol Outbacks should be more reliable than the diesels, i.e. no DPF or turbo to worry about, but I'd say it's more down to how it's been looked after by the previous owner(s). No issues with mine so far, touch wood!
  10. Thanks again Frank, your post really helped - I updated my maps recently to the November 2025 release without any issues👍
  11. I think the part number is 81611VC000. Although this is from a site in the States and is for a WRX, this seems to be the same on the battery cover on my Outback: STM Tuned Inc.Subaru OEM Battery Positive Red Cover for 2022+ WRX (8161...Genuine OEM Subaru factory replacement battery positive terminal red plastic cover for 2022+ WRX.

  13. Thanks again for posting this, I'm hoping to upgrade the map in my Outback too 👍
