Hi All Can any one help ? When accelerating hard cant get 2nd or 4th Gear ,if i just Potter around there is no problem any ideas please lady sue

Hi i have a Mate who works on a rolling road ,tuning all sorts of high performance cars he says. The burble is caused by the early cars having what is called an off set turbo ,which means the inlet manifolds are of a different length. Once the turbo gets up to pressure ,it eliminates the difference in pressure and the burble goes away and is replaced with yet another wonderful sound. which is why i will keep my 2.0 Bug eye

Hi I have just blown my engine on a 01 plate bug ,due to bad mapping done before i bought the car. it is now at John Pye Motors in bishop Aukland ,they build engines for rally subarus . Try giving them a call ,they may have a second hand engine, or will rebuild yours. They are on the web ,beware you could buy a load of trouble with a second hand engine, they come very highly recommended, and have asked all the right questions. cant wait to get it back. good luck Frenchsue
