  1. Yesterday morning and also this morning my WRX sigma alarm has starting chirruping whilst i am driving to work,it started after about 15 mins of driving and seems to be almost like a morse code signal that lasts for around 8 seconds, then there's a gap of about 3 mins and it doe's it again,i think but am not sure it doe's the same sequence of beeps every time, when i got to work this morning i popped the bonnet for a quick scan of the engine and it did it whilst it was idling, very strange. On the way home it seems fine,it is -20C here in Sweden at the moment,i wonder if the intense cold is affecting the electrics in anyway? I've already been through the weeping fuel pipes at the injectors syndrome which apparently Subaru in the USA recalled all WRX's for in the upper 16 states which are the coldest and i have to put the tiny little battery on charge every night or come morning it won't start,i don't think my English scooby is too impressed with Sweden!
  2. Fluid is topped up and it's just had new belts, not a whine, screech or anything, just this lumpy/notchy feel at a certain turning arc, anyway just bought a s/h rack off ebay which i will put new inner and outer track rods and new boots on and hope that does the trick, should do,there's not much else left it can be!
  3. Well,i had it up on axle stands today while i fitted new discs and pads and i think it's the rack, gripping a wheel on either side and moving it lock to lock the is a binding spot,if you snatch it back it also makes an internal clunk, bit of a strange one, still drives fine except for roundabouts where if you just go round and round it weaves and you cannot keep a smooth turning circle.I had a good look underneath while a friend turned the wheels and could find absolutely no play,i also gave the steering u/j a good soaking with wd-40 but no difference,i saw you can buy internal as well as external track rods for the scooby rack, are these inner rods prone to failure?
  4. Brilliant, thanks Gambit,i'll get on with sourcing one.
  5. Hello, could someone please supply me with the part number for this cover panel, mine is missing and i'm losing sleep over it! :)
  6. My new '02 bugeye has a strange feel to the steering when turning,in a straight line it is fine but when i get to a roundabout and turn the wheel to about 10 past or 10 to it goes stiff and wants to throw the wheel straight, when you have gone past 10 past it seems o.k. Has anybody had this problem,i'm thinking it might be a stiff/seizing steering u joint?
  7. Just checking before i hit the buy it now button, are these the correct pads for my '02 WRX bug eye? Thanks. ebay no 190693218069
