  1. Thanks for advice. Do you change it every 3k?
  2. I'm in no rush so will only jump ship if the right car is available. I think I want to experience the comfort of the ze germans now and see how their engineering compares to the !Removed!. I wish I had bought an STi now to be fair! Snow could be fun in the scoob though. You taken yours out in the white stuff on normal tyres before? How was it?
  3. Just watched that video. What a ***** the guy in the 944 was! I think it was a 944. This may surprise you but I was actually looking at gking for the Cayenne. Not to everyones taste however I used to work at Porsche Leeds and I fell in love the moment I got in one.
  4. Alright cheers bud. I will see how it goes. After this service I am refurbing two alloys and......deep breath.....possibly saying goodbye to my scooby for a Porsche. We will see. I just want the car to be mint and clean first before selling so I can ask for top dollar.
  5. Thanks mate. Just spoke with the subaru specialist garage and they were like "we run 10w-50" your oil is way too thin. Subaru manual says 5w-30 or 5w-40. Maybe it is preference?!
  6. Took the cheaper option and went for Shell Helix Ultra. Bought 5w-30 instead of 5w-40 which I put in last time. Will it be ok?
  7. Maybe that is why they all bang on about it in the states; because they don't have much choice!
  8. Last time I went for a medium grade Shell Helix Ultra - I'm changing oil every 3k so wanted to keep cost down. With Royal Purple I would change every 5k I think.
  9. Has anyone used Royal Purple oil in their scoob? It is really popular in America and seems to be the number one choice in the states. It is stocked at AAS, Newcastle at £56 for 5 quarts. F1 cars use this oil now instead of Mobil and on the racing scene it is used very widely and gaining popularity. Most Subaru owners in America comment on how smooth the vehicle as when using Royal Purple. Any comments or advice will be appreciated!
  10. Is the sound quality improved a lot by changing speakers? I've the heard the head unit needs changing because it is !Removed!!
  11. Haha I saw one on ebay with boot lid for £150 today. I probs won't even be able to sell it. I have a cat converter too, how much are they worth?
  12. http://m.gumtree.com/p/other-miscellaneous-goods/subaru-impreza-wrx-spoiler-2006-hawkeye/1078254281
  13. I am interested if there is a good deal on price!
  14. I have a rear spoiler for a hawkeye wrx impreza for sale. In good condition. Colour is black. £60 collection from Leeds.
  15. I was certain when I purchased the ticket it said it was for per car regardless of passengers :-/
  16. Tickets haven't arrived yet :-/ hope they do!!
  17. Thanks mate my ticket has been bought!
  18. My car had not been remapped before. £150 is what I paid for tweaks. £300 was for a full remap. I too thought £600 was the going rate as they were "closed" ECU's and needed a licence. You can imagine how delighted I was to pay so little!
  19. Andrew Carr did mine. I had overboost problems with my 06 WRX and gave him £150 to tweak the mapping. He has a good reputation. A full remap is £300 from him. Depends how much power you want!
  20. The car also has wind deflectors running from the front to rear windows. Does anyone know how to get these off? Is it an easy job?
  21. I'm going to take the badges off but keep the spoiler. It is probably less likely to get nicked without STi badges too! Thanks for advice all.
  22. Hi all. I have a 56plate hawkeye WRX. The guy before me has made it look like an STi. It has the STi rear spoiler and STi pink badges on the front and rear. Should I remove the badges and stop pretending the car is an STi? Should I put the original WRX spoiler on too? Can't decide.
