  1. You can do a good job if you can spray.i sprayed some wheels gold but as said it takes a lot work rubbing them down and stuff.did a quick job on my hatch wheels to a dark grey and they look ok.my best wheel are going to be powder coated tommorow at lcs £50 a wheel for straightning all rash removed, strip't and coated, tyre back on and balanced.so for the money you sould just get them powder coated.by time you have bought sand paper, primer, paint clear coat and time doing them its not much cheaper.also if you spray them with it not being baked on when you go for a tyre on they will just destroy the paint round the rim.
  2. Moding a car back in the 80s was no diffrent really to modern day cars.it was ok sticking carbs and cams in but you still needed someone compatent to tune the car up right or all your mods was just a waste money driving round without them set up right.just now tuners use laptops. 18. so has it says guys,i have been studying my turbo to see if it is what i was told it was,i read it sould say on it what it is,like td04 or vf34 but i dont no were it sould say it,can you see it when it is on car or would it have to be removed to see the identification, cheers i no may be a daft question but i have no clue were it would be and unless it says garret or something in big letters then one turbo looks like another to me

  21. no warning lights mate and nothing on code reader, will give it a run to petrol station and try what you said,i check't oil and coolant and all is ok and can not see any pipes off or anything,so will give redex a shot.
  22. So set off to work this morning and all was well.stop't at shop and when i started car up it was trying to cut out, reved it a bit seamed to go ok,about a mile up road it started being lumpy like wanting to stall again and no boost and when you tried putting foot down instead of turbo kicking in it feels more like something is tightening up if that makes sense.any ideas guys.not changed anything on car apart from a new gasket on bov on fmic and tightened all clanps on intercooler piping as they all seamed to be loose.
