coilover question
Could always go for a set of non adjustable springs and dampers if you just want a fixed drop and won't be changing your ride height. At least then you will be getting a matched set of springs and dampers. I had a set of bilstein on my golf that were great quality and for the same money I would have only been able to get fairly poor coilovers.

New WRX STI remap
Just be wary of any info coming out of the good old US of A. Americans like to tell us how they do things is best and all there parts and software is best yet they can't make a decent car in the first place. I would be looking for advice of uk subaru specialists who map to suit our fuel. Yea I've seen that video and I was lucky enough to be at the TT last year, they have about 6 new sti's as Marshall cars and they do a flying lap to check the course before racing starts, it's great to see but the new sti's sound crap on the standard exhaust.

New WRX STI remap
I read up about all the engine failures at the time with the early hatch backs and the 330s models (basically a better exhaust and remap from prodrive using ecutek software) were more reliable than standard sti's although they weren't immune to it. What I've done is pretty much the same as 330s or 320r, 340r packs, it really is a shame subaru don't offer these anymore. It's down to the owner to take the risk but I really don't think I've made my car less reliable. As for forged pistons, upgraded head studs and new gasket most subaru specialists would sat that's not needed unless you go for a bigger turbo.

I've had mine done. I did post the dyno graphs on here somewhere. I've got a milltek system with sports cat and perrin induction kit. I had it mapped on BP ultimate fuel as there isn't a shell garage within 40 mile of where I live so my figures suffered a bit as BP fuel just isn't as good as shell. Power went from 286 to 323bhp and torque went from 275 to 350ftlb. The biggest difference is the boost comes in a lot earlier and there is a massive gain in midrange torque. Maybe best to get a few thousand mile on it before you do it if the car is brand new just to make sure it is run in.- offset issues
They look pretty flush and I would have 13mm more poke 😕 cheers Geoff. That does look good on 19's though- offset issues
Right guys I'm after a bit of advice, I've seen the wheels I want for sale in the uk one set only and there's no more stock from th supplier. The wheels are 18 x 9.5 and to fit my car the recommended offset on this size is 35 -40. The set available are offset 22 so will stick out further. If I went for these would I be able to get away with it or would the 13mm difference just give me a nightmare with clearance issues on the arch. There is plenty of room in the arch but I don't want a wheel that scrubs on hard cornering- 340 bhp remap
Is there such a thing as just a 340 bhp map though? All the old performance packs included an exhaust mod too. And yes the difference is massive the boost comes in earlier and the main difference you feel is a lot more torque right through the rev range.- Sparky's 2015 sti build
All the carbon looks good on a black car I think you've got the right colour, it would look a bit over the top on a blue car. The seibon boot looks mint too it would look good colour matched on any car and just looks a bit more of a modern style- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
I couldn't really put a time on it I would like to have it done before the end of summer if possible so not in a great hurry and I would have to have a good think about if I'm gonna keep the car long term or change it after 3 years- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
Has he done all the work on your engine? How many trips did you have to make to get it all done?- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
behave yourself I'm gonna end up spending enough money already- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
Just been on the phone to them gonna drop them an email. It would take a few visits due to running in so at least that splits the costs a bit. Cheers Kgerrie I might get a quote off them too but it's already been to the clinic and I do like those guys despite a bit of bad press they've had this week- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
I'll watch them over the potholes😂- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
Just going off what it says on the scoobyclinic website to add rods it costs a lot more due to labour costs. I'm trying to weigh up the costs of going forged and a bigger turbo I reckon I'm probably looking at 3.5 to 4k with just the pistons if I go through scoobyclinic which is most likely where I would have it done.- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
Nice one I was thinking about going forged myself but don't know if I can afford to do rods as well as it adds about another £2000 and I don't think I would be trying to get over 400 bhp- MD321T Billet, TDR Remap, 2.5 Engine = Mental
Nice one bet it goes well. What you got forged, just pistons or rods too?- 2017 WRX STI 2dr Touring Car
Well here's the standard car and a pic someone has edited of what the coupe version for the road might look. There is a few bmw touches such as the lip on the boot lid but you can see where the image has evolved from the current wrx sti- 2017 WRX STI 2dr Touring Car
It does look a bit like the m4 but it also loos like a 2 door coupe wrx sti so I suppose the similarity with the bmw comes from the standard car- 2017 WRX STI 2dr Touring Car
Fantastic subaru must build this :)- Remap tweak
Why are you not a fan of ecutek? They do the ppp software don't they? Mines been done by scoobyclinic and I'm happy with it, I don't think there's a wrong answer here both have a good reputation.- Forza Motorsport 6
I've done the brat round Silverstone but it's a bit low on power for that track. I want to drive the brz later so might find a track for that.- Forza Motorsport 6
