  14. Gutted for you pal. I haven't been on the forum for a while so thought I'd check to see how your car was getting along. Wasn't expecting this but glad all are ok
  15. Mines ready for new pads so think I'm gonna go ebc too but can't see me going on track so red stuff should do
  16. Fantastic car. You've got yourself a belter there
  17. Images added to a gallery album owned by confusedbrog in Subaru Owners Gallery - Albums
Thought I'd start an album and stick my dyno graphs in. The car has now got a milltek turbo back system with hi flow cat, a perrin intake and was remapped running on BP ultimate fuel which isn't ideal but there's no Shell garages round my way so had it mapped on what I can run
  18. Well got my new wheels fitted yesterday. 19 inch OZ superturismo LM. I'm really pleased with them they fill they arches a lot better than the standard wheel
  19. Could always go for a set of non adjustable springs and dampers if you just want a fixed drop and won't be changing your ride height. At least then you will be getting a matched set of springs and dampers. I had a set of bilstein on my golf that were great quality and for the same money I would have only been able to get fairly poor coilovers.
  20. Just be wary of any info coming out of the good old US of A. Americans like to tell us how they do things is best and all there parts and software is best yet they can't make a decent car in the first place. I would be looking for advice of uk subaru specialists who map to suit our fuel. Yea I've seen that video and I was lucky enough to be at the TT last year, they have about 6 new sti's as Marshall cars and they do a flying lap to check the course before racing starts, it's great to see but the new sti's sound crap on the standard exhaust.
  21. I read up about all the engine failures at the time with the early hatch backs and the 330s models (basically a better exhaust and remap from prodrive using ecutek software) were more reliable than standard sti's although they weren't immune to it. What I've done is pretty much the same as 330s or 320r, 340r packs, it really is a shame subaru don't offer these anymore. It's down to the owner to take the risk but I really don't think I've made my car less reliable. As for forged pistons, upgraded head studs and new gasket most subaru specialists would sat that's not needed unless you go for a bigger turbo.
  22. I've had mine done. I did post the dyno graphs on here somewhere. I've got a milltek system with sports cat and perrin induction kit. I had it mapped on BP ultimate fuel as there isn't a shell garage within 40 mile of where I live so my figures suffered a bit as BP fuel just isn't as good as shell. Power went from 286 to 323bhp and torque went from 275 to 350ftlb. The biggest difference is the boost comes in a lot earlier and there is a massive gain in midrange torque. Maybe best to get a few thousand mile on it before you do it if the car is brand new just to make sure it is run in.
