New to the Jap scene
I'm picking my car up next Sunday and getting it with the milltek cat back then going to Get the downpipe and sports cat and remap when it's got a few miles on. The milltek looks good I'm not sure about Magnaflow and as for perrin I don't know if there any good or not but I tend to think the yanks will say something is great just because it's made over there.

The thing is your car already has a better exhaust and a remap. The mapping was developed for prodrive by ecutek so doing these to your car would only give small gains. I've been in touch with scoobyclinic about there performance packs and after exhaust and remap your looking at going for a bigger turbo and injectors and mapped to suite.

Nice motor. I think the 330s was only On the earlier hatches like 08 and 09 models wasn't it? Then the 320r and 340 r came later on I think it was just a different exhaust and a remap. Shame there not offering these packages on the new car yet as it's getting caught up by a few of the hot hatch crew

2015 sti aftermarket wheels
Do you think the 9.5 wide would poke out of the arch too much? It would have been interesting to see what they looked like. The xxr's look smart though

Yea I've had wheels and suspension from them in the past. I think the rota gravel look good in gold as well. I won't even have my car for another 3 week but already making a shopping list :) shame there will be no cash left for it :(

2015 sti aftermarket wheels
I rang them last week to see if they could get the gram lights but unfortunately not. I might have a drive through when I get my car. What other plans have you got for yours and how are you getting on with the car?

2015 sti aftermarket wheels
They know there stuff like they will look good as 9.5 wide they are the sort of wheels that don't look right with out the wide stance. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your car when you get them. Why not go really mad and go for a 19 x 9.5 so I will know if they will fit for future reference ;)

2015 sti aftermarket wheels
If you have a lower offset does that not bring the wheel out away from the arch as the mounting face of the wheel is closer to the centre line bringing the wheel out? I think that's why you would have an et55 on a 8.5" wheel or an et 35 on a 9" wheel. The offset number you need changes with wheel width. http://www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/wheels-and-accessories?manufacturer=477 Found this site selling 9.5" wide wheels for the new sti with et40

They look tidy. I've been looking about to see if there's any I fancy and liked the look of these but haven't seen a uk seller that lists a price

Also I wondered if 19's would be bad for the handling, it shouldn't make a huge difference in rolling radius of the wheel and tyre but I would hate to spoil the drive of the car a little bit for it to for a set of shiny wheels

I second revolution motorstore. They're big into their scoobs and will probably be able to recommend a few others. Also when you speak to them you feel like they take the time to make sure you get what you want. I've been looking at wheels maybe just dreaming cos I won't have much cash left over when I get the car but there was a few nice OZ 19's in subaru fitment 8.5 wide other than that I liked the speed line Turini and some of the bbs looked like they would look well on it, as it's a blue subaru it just won't look right without gold wheels ;)

The bmw is a nice car and sounds great although it does cheat by amplifying the engine sound through the speakers like a lot of the latest cars, it could also do with an LTD amd it ends up around £8th more than the subaru even when your sensible on the options. I'm going to think over this for the week but I'm swaying towards the subaru as I think it's the best value for money as a drivers car. It might lack some of the latest fancy gizmos you get on the German cars but it's got a well sorted chassis with no compromises and proper 4wd. It may lose out on the other cars on 0-60 by a small amount but as it could make that back up with an exhaust and remap and still be cheaper it doesn't seem worth worrying about. As I've already said I think the subaru is a great looking car and I don't think I'm going to get bored of it in a hurry if it's what I go for.

I've tried a lot of cars over the last 6 month and they've all had their good bits and bad bits. I do think the wrx sti is a great looking car and that's the first time I've thought that about a subaru since the hawkeye. It's got a great chassis and feels absolutely planted on the road I also think it's a lot of car for the money nowadays, I just thought they would have a bit more torque in the middle and wondered if there's a bit more power in that motor that could be freed up with just a remap.

First of all hi everyone, I'm not a subaru owner yet but I'm after a new car and the new wrx sti has made my short list. I think it's a great looking car and love the sound of the motor. The other cars I've considered are the new golf r and the bmw m235i which both end up quite a bit more expensive when you tick a few options even when I factor in the subaru thirst and high road tax it's still seems a good deal. The only problem is the subaru felt quick but not amazingly fast so I was wondering what mods you guys would recommend and how much would I have to spend to get an extra 40 or 50 bhp. I've watched a few YouTube videos in the US of dyno runs where they are getting 260bhp out of a mapped car and they think this is great, am I missing something here or shouldn't these cars have more than this standard? So would be good to hear what a few of you have done with your car's before I stick a deposit down as the wrx sti seems like a good deal to me at the minute.
