I need to replace the windscreen wipers on the 03plate legacy (import) can i get these as standard part or do i need to purchase wipers for a different Subaru?

I purchased my Legacy from a local dealer who specializes in jap imports so far the car has been fantastic, iv'e just had it undersealed.

Looks like a nice car.

When the engine is up to temp the header tank allows the expanded fluid (water) to find a place to live. Otherwise there would be BANG......SSSSHHHHH!

Sometimes its a good idea to ask questions to reinforce what you think you already know.....better than going BANG.....lol

There's a min line about 2inch from the bottom of the tank so just fill to where the neck opens up a bit.

I take it that i need to fill up (sorry.... top up) to minimum level when the engine is cold.

Should the level be at mid point when engine is warm?

I looked at what i think is the header tank or cooler expansion tank.

It seems empty. 

The car was not running and cold.

The car has not overheated and runs fine.

Should i top up when the car is at running temperature or cold?

What im talking about is the container with yellow cap on the front of the engine to the right, not the screen wash...lol.

Help needed.

Im looking for somebody who know what the button above the cd player on/off button is for.

It has which looks like a wifi sign on it and it is next to the eject button.

When pressed T.I comes up on the display screen.

The player is a gx-201je.

Is this wifi for conecting music from your Phone?

Is it hands free?

And how do i get it to work?

Any help with this would be fantastic as i could not find the info on the web.

The wheels are 19".

Any recomendations of what to purchase and where to get them.

I still need to get the car mapped for british fuel.

Was considering having a different inlet filter for better breathing but dont want the car to sound any louder.

Absolutely love the front splitter and the scoop! Kinda fancy a splitter myself, but wouldn't be able to find a genuine subaru one.

 

Hoping you can come to some of the car shows, would be nice to see another mk4 legacy saloon there!

I did go to the kent meet on Saturday....yesturday.

The full designation for the B4 is B4 RSK. (Rally sport Kompressor).

 

The B4 is a Generation 3 model and will have  the twin turbo set up. The Gen 4 models have the twin scroll system but the designations changed and the B4 label was dropped.

 

Actually having B4 on the logbook is a bonus, I've only ever seen 'Legacy'.

 

The twin turbo variants:

 

Gen 2: GT and GTB are both wagons, RS and RSB are the saloons. A special edition model was the GTB Ltd which was a wagon only.

Gen 3: GT and GTB are still wagons, B4 RSK is the saloon.  Special edition models also existed in the Gen 3 age such as Blitzen and S-Edition. Both available as saloon or wagon.

 

 

 

All the above are JDM only and were available as manual or auto box.

 

The options list on all the above was enormous so its rare to find two of the same spec.

I can only see one turbo it's on the left hand side of the engine.

The vin is nine digits and starts BL5.

The engine type starts with EJ20.

The Transmission starts with TG5.

The option code is  QGH.

I cant make sense of the decoders found, any idea?
