  1. Thanks Guys If you read my thread, then the build is strong enough for about 550 brake Currently running around 360, but pushing for around 430 on a budget. Got a great mechanic at Predator, and Im sure he will see me fine! (Really good!!) Just wondered what anyone else is running - as apparently Subaru will not produce anymore of the STIs after the end of 2018!! Cheers all
  2. Who's running big, and what is your build?
  3. Who's running big, and what is your build?
  4. very nice!!
  5. Again, havnt made up my mind yet, but the engines built for a good 500 + I ran one some 10 years ago at 400 and that was fun. Been in HSVs since then and just returned to Subaru, so any suggestions welcome!
  6. Havnt decided yet. Only changed the pipes from front to back, AEM intake and remapped for now - need to be careful running in first! suggestions? cheers
  7. Sounds good! Strengthening done - Closed deck Mahle 4032 pistons New EJ257 heat treated crankshaft ACL race series main and big end bearings Williams H beam rods ARP head studs new 11mm oil pump Cosworth head gaskets high capacity EJ20 125 sump EJ20 oil pick up pipe RCM sump baffle plate up-rated Exedy clutch Hoping this will do the job!
  8. Yeh< painful Tokyo cheap engine!! have to spend so much money to build a decent strong engine to run reasonable Subaru power!!
  9. Up and running in - and looking good! Wondering if anyone else has embarked on a build yet, and what you have gone for? cheers
  10. Hello All Wondered if anyone has changed their air filter yet - and what you think? cheers
  11. 10 years ago I was running an STI which I gave to Zen Performance to up-grade after blowing the original engine. We went for a 2.5 version with larger Garret turbo, 650 top injectors, forged pistons/rods, de-cat pipe and re-map - and it made around the 400bhp mark. That was a pretty quick car!!
  12. Just saying hello - although technically my new 2015 WRX STI isnt called an Impreza anymore!! Any advise on power up-grades and who you have used for what gains would be very welcome thanks Stubbsey
  13. Rubbish!! I just got the same reply when I asked if they had a test car on the go!!
  14. Exactly!! Facebook Subaru Uk and let them know your thoughts via messenger
  15. Still worth badgering Subaru UK to get the Pro R 340 up-grade approved by Japan!! Basically the same engine that has been approved on the last few years models, and it means you keep your Subaru warranty!! surely it can only be a matter of time?
  16. Looks good! Got to say that my car needs more power, just dont want to lose the warranty
  17. Thanks. Yes was going to start with the Milltek catback as I think that doesnt void the warranty and a claimed 15bhp. I thought a remap voids the warranty? Are you happy with the sound?
  18. Yep - thanks for this. Have spoken to them already, but maintaining the warranty is an issue. Any thoughts as Japan have said no to the Pro R up-grade!! (pretty well what we are talking about here)
  19. Had the new car for 3 weeks now, but believe it would be much better with a further 40BHP or so (at this stage). As Japan are not allowing the Pro R up-grade, Im interested to know who has changed the exhaust set up, re-map, induction.......... and how that sits with maintaining warranty? Any advise / experience greatly appreciated!! thanks alot
  20. I travel alot, so bound to be your way!
  21. After 9 years in V8s, Im back to Subarus and just wanted to say hello. Ive bought the 2015 STI, and would really welcome up-grade ideas!! Car handles amazing after big rear wheel lumps, but it needs more power, so any thoughts would be very welcome Hope to speak to some of you soon Thanks
