After disconnecting and recharging the battery, I was able to reset the alarm with the fob so all was well. Thanks to all for the advice Steve

Not yet. Trouble is the the charger overloads after 10 seconds or so and cuts out. Hence asking questions here before I try the jump start idea. :)

My son left his old 1999 Turbo 2000 here a while back and about a month later, asked me to give it a run. Needless to say the battery is flat. No problem, I thought - I'll stick the charger on it for a while. BUT... When I connect the charger, it tries to pull lots of amps and the alarm starts sounding. However I can't clear it with the remote. It may just be that the charger isn't giving enough oomph for that to work or parhaps it isn't as simple as that?? I could jump start it but I thought check here for advice first to see if I have to do anything special. The alarm manual appears to say that if you have a flat battery, contact your dealer!! Any advice appreciated. Thanks Steve
