Newer Generation Subaru's. What would you Buy? Or Older Model ?
Could it be that some previous owner has adjusted the twin throttle cables incorrectly? that can sometimes throw a glitch in the E/M system

Hi Mdon, Re your problem : " only annoyance has been a reoccurring engine management light that's popped up every now and then but I know it's not serious" Do you have a Subaru tow bar fitted? could be a towbar electrics connect pin stuck in; you'll find it in the socket at about 2.15pm it's very small; but they sometimes stick in - worth a try to release the small pin. or an interior light bulb blown will cause the engine management light to come on intermittently. Hope this helps in some way.

Going to sell my Scooby Outback; What's it worth?
What's it worth Registration valuations would like to have my Number Plate. they offered £1000 But I know It's worth more! Moto X and 7050 MX oil companies are always interested. I hope to keep the number; but the Scooby is certainly worth £2500 of anyones money ; it's a lot of low mileage car - for not much money. Anyone interested ? please message me for viewing etc...

Going to sell my Scooby Outback; What's it worth?
Thanks Mr, B. I'd like it to go to someone who would love the car. The torc and pulling power is amazing; and I'm getting 25/26, mph local area driving, with 40,mph on a run. This car has had an easy life with my Brother; he nursed it carefully. Truthfully; I don't really wan't to part with it! Although the tax - insurance etc... is a crippling expense for us with two cars. I may keep the Registration Number; or sell it separately ? Your help and advise appreciated.

Going to sell my Scooby Outback; What's it worth?
Thanks Mr, B. I really do appreciate your opinion on value. The car belonged to my Brother (who passed away October 2015) A few people offered to buy the car from me; but at the time I just couldn't part with it. Had several offers over £3000.00 for it. Now I'm thinking that the time has come to let it go; I'm the only driver in the family, and to keep two cars running; what with: Tax, Insurance, MOT and Servicing on two vehicles, it's a costly outlay when your on a meagre pension. My Brother bought the car when it was 1, year old; and he owned it for over 13, years, until he died in Oct, 2015. He loved the car and really looked after it; there are a few marks here and there; but overall the body is pretty good, had a full service done also MOT a month ago, the car sailed strait through the MOT; the mechanic was very impressed with the car. Going on your recommendations; I will ask £2500. ono for the vehicle. Do you think that's a fair price?

Moving Home; Garage Pointers..
Hi All, I/we, will be moving home within the next couple of months; we're moving to Wiltshire, the Hilperton Area of Trowbridge. I was wondering if any of our members live in or around the Trowbridge area? I will shortly after moving; require a Service and MOT on the Outback.. I'm looking for a friendly garage in the area. Could anyone recommend a (not Dealership) garage suitable for working on my Subaru Outback; without charging me a fortune? help and advise appreciated..

FOG LIGHT SWITCHES - How to remove & Replace?
Didn't need to remove the fog light switch; the problem was just a small pin in the Tow Bar Electrics stuck in. Released the pin with a tweezers and the rear fog light work again.

2003 Subaru Outback 3.0-rear fog light not working
DO YOU HAVE A TOW-BAR FITTED? If you do? There is a small pin in the electrics situated at about 2.00 o'clock to 10; past 2.00, it's tiny but if it's stuck in your fog light won't work!! Happened to me; you'll need a small pointy nose pliers or a strong tweezers to pull it out. The pin is to stop glare from the fog light when your towing a caravan, the pin eliminates the car fog light but not the fog light on the caravan. This is quite a common fault with tow-bar electrics. Here's a post I found on another Car Forum. I had a problem with my rear fog lamp not illuminating. All was OK with the wiring etc. I had heard about the fog lamp cut off but did not know what or where it was. searches of previous posts or the web did not make to too clear. It is very simply a push button inside the 7 pin trailer electrics socket next to the tow bar (usually between pins 1 and 2). In theory the button is pressed down when you insert the plug for the trailer lights and this action turns off the car rear fog lamp/s to stop them reflecting off the towed trailer. But this push switch gets stuck down with muck and corrosion. The net result is no fog lamps on the van as the socket always 'thinks' a plug is plugged into it.Its an easy fix for the home DIYer either clean and lubricate the socket or get a new one.Check this first if rear fogs fail to work and you have a tow bar electrical socket.
