hi guys been away a while ill health and all that....i have a v1 import turbo had problems with engine but have since had that replaced all good now but i do have a problem that i had when i had the other engine in the car and that is a hesitant feels like running on three then picks up and goes fine again it comes and goes... we have done a pressure test all four on 145 also tested all sensors with multi meter and injectors all fine....im thinking could it be the fuel pump??..i had this problem when other engine was in the car so it could possibly be fuel pump .. but could it be anything else i have brand new plugs ngk platinum ......... any help in solving my problem would be great as car on my driveway doing nothing and i keep looking at it knowing i can not drive it because of this !Removed! problem........please can you help

thanks i will check it over also noticed the sound of gurgling water running through pipe behind dash again will keep eye on coolant levels daily as this thinking back was a problem i ignored and had air lock in heater matric before engine change over and after fitting this engine....no matt will be keeping cdb as a massive diffrence i missit already rebuild will be taking place in future not sure what is needed but will be done .....what year could my closed deck be used in as it may take while before i manage to get it repaired and i my change vehicle to face lift if i do i would want to use closed deck block in it

hi ash my closed deck one had head gasket and other possible problems but going for crack test and other work to be done at our own pace but closed deck felt much better .......i have 380cc injectors and swapped my intake manifold over and my coil packs from the v1 but is still running with 2c ecu .......im probably going to keep this engine in for a year while i rebuild my closed deck not rushing lol..... so am i right in guessing i need 440cc injectors with a diffrent ecu as does run ok but do notice on motorway it kind of misfire that may not be correct way to eplain it but kind of like chuggy for a couple of seconds then fine only now and again ok thanks thought rolling road was lot more than that i will look in to it thankyou

hi i have replaced my engine with an open block 76000 mileS 1998 import 2.0 turbo wrx i did change over the intake manifold and im not sure i have ever had the correct ecu.......anybody have the awnser....car did come with this ecu its a 2C ECU with td05 turbo the engine i removed was a 1994 turbo import wrx close deck think it was quicker to....im on 380 injectors want to no if i need to change my ecu or injectors thanks

that better just a thought would the coolant temp sensor only be for the temp gauge is there a separate one for ecu possibly to tell my fans to stop and start as they keep going wont stop i have removed thermostat at mo as thought that was problem........1994 import turbo

sniffer test done last night all clear there no problem...........as i have removed thermostat as i thought it may be at fault the fans will not stop could i have a faulty tempature coolant sensor would that be the cause;;;; anyone have any knowledge on temp coolant switch thingy

done all that ..... ok removed the thermostat tried that but the fans wont stop possible tempature switch i will change tonite and order another thermostat 3rd one...hoping to resolve and then see if there is chance of spare ticket for club stand fingers crossed not had any luck but maybe light at the end of the tunnel

ok i drain out coolant do everything all back up and connect garden hose to heater matric inlet and after that i will try to connect hose somwere else and see what happens drain out again add coolant again and see what happens................is that right

can do with luck im greatful will give ago later ( raining ) garden hose will try that and would that force air out mmmmmmmm i like it nothing to lose

i think air lock aaahhhhh not looking good i cant bleed the !Removed! air lock have one more go today......heater blows cold air only been like that for while before i had over heating problem could here it gurgle behind dash but not for a while now ..new rad on new water pump and thermostat...i cant do it aahhhhhh fan dont want to stop runs for long time i worry and turn of car after ten minutes of the fan running and you can here fluid boiling like mad but no thick white smoke just little condensation that quickly evaporates when ticking over .......... dont think i will make the show GUTTED TOP PIPE ON RAD GETs HOT BOTTOM PIPE ONLY LUKE Warm

pump being fitted in an hour or two i do hope all is good but if not then i dont think it has been a waste of time but if it fails it will be hg jobbie.....i hope this time it dont boil ...when fan kicks in it boils over so new pump could be awnser if not then head gaskets fingers crossed mr b were can i buy a gas analyser from have tried euro car parts no ,luck and halfords to buddy any idea ok pump now fitted moving on to timming in mo tea break lol

going to get new pump and more coolant got an incling it may well be pump :D if not hg aaaahhhhhhhhhh :o wanted new wheelS cant afford now pump be in and filling coolant about 5 fingerS croSSed

ok new stat fitted bleed system got nearly 4 an bit litres coolant in car waited for fan to kick in and stop but car bubbling hot before fan had chance to stop temp was halfway my son thinks pump may need to be changed not circulating coolant it was making a noise so give that a go today also heater never got warm still cold air would that be to do with pump to. if this dont work i dont no

sorry for delay in reply mention customs and that was it car wise got air lock in coolant my boy thinking head gasket but no gunk anywere done compress ion and pressure test now going for sniff tester if find one told about £30

i did put it in sink with boiling water from kettle nothing happend maybe not hot enuff so got new one.....i remember a hose used to make a sound of gurgling water behind the dash when i used to start the car not been doing it for a while now and no hot air from heater maybe when i remove air lock all will be good again

thankyou i will give it a go i am going to change the thermostat first and make sure all hoses are on tight ...then i will jack front of car up in the air ..let you no how i get on..the other thermostat looked ok but got new one in case .. big thankyou

is there a bleed valve anywere to help mbleed the system thanks also on my new rad there is two brass pipe elbows that look like there is supposed to be a pipe joining them am i right as they are not joined now was yesterday but removed them as thought it was wrong they are on the end of rad by battery

gambit cheers buddy going to see if they have one in stock i dont no how to bleed the rad for air lock how much coolant does my car take as think about 3 n half litres i put in before it began to bubble and throw it out could i be lucky and just have an air lock i did keep adding coolant when it was bubbling over top of header tank but i did stop ...will get another thermostat today from euro car parts or halfords and give someone a drink to bleed my system and see how i go from there
