  1. Hi Jay i did not even know you replied . I do 9000 miles pa 40 miles a day round trip to work 20 miles country route and 20 miles motorway every day. I dont think the DPF will be a issue . I have been told by Subaru that the crankshaft issue was sorted after the 2010 models .
  2. Hi guys . I really want a Subaru Outback it is 66' plate 2.0 D premium with CVT gearbox. I have read so much on the reliability of these cars quite frankly i do not know what to do . I read the 2.0 D crankshaft breaks , the glow plugs fail regularly , the CVT causes problems after 60,000 miles just after the warranty expires . Please can someone reassure me as to reliability . My intended car comes with 2 and a bit years of warranty but not the CVT and glow plugs . What do you think ?
  3. It's a shame . I really love the Sti it was more fun than even my 2001 M5 . I'd buy a automatic would solve my knee issue .
  4. Do you mean Sti automatics as in no more manual Sti's.
  5. Hello everyone. I recently in the last week sold my 2015 Subaru Sti back to the Subaru dealer who i originally brought it of. The reason i sold it was i couldn't press the clutch properly because of a recent knee operation. During a conversation i had with the salesperson i asked if Subaru are bringing out a new 2.0 litre version hoping it would have flappy paddle gearshift so i can again own the Sti. Interestingly he said Subaru are not going to be importing any more Subaru Sti's because of high emissions and Europe's higher fees for importing high emission cars to UK. He told me it's on the QT . Do you guys have any knowledge of this.
  6. Oh yes it's definitely a upgrade worth doing. It doesn't make it go any faster or anything but I certainly noticed a difference . Thanks again Tim
  7. Hello i just had a recent oil change using oil recommended by Tim from Opie Oils (thanks Tim) From his recommendations I decided to use Motul 300V along with Roger Clark Motor sport oil filter . I have a 2012 Subaru Wrx Sti in don't know if I'm just imagining it but the car feels different feels a tad more smoother and urgent. Just thought I'd let you guys know .
  8. You will not be disappointed. It's a real headturner pixyflash. It won't annoy your neighbours . Enjoy
  9. Hello Pixyflash no unfortunately i never did a video. But I can say it's totally worth it , it's definitely louder than stock but not louder than the Sti,s of old . you tube wouldn't do it any justice at all. If you put the radio on even a little it'll drown out any drone in my opinion and it is all down to opinion. It does sound as it should where are you based my friend if your close enough more than welcome to listen to it.
  10. Hi Tim . So which is the best out of the ones you supply ? Roger Clark's oil filter is it believe between £17.99 to £19.99 so not a massive amount .
  11. Has anyone used the Roger Clark oil filter on their Sti ? if so what do you think ? I've just brought some Motul 300v from Opie Oils after some advice from Tim what a excellent company by the way superb service even the courier was a good cheerful guy. I thought maybe a upgraded oil filter can't do not harm. thanks in advance
  12. One dealer said shell the other said Petronas. But I'll take your advice, is it ok to top up with one of your suggestions until the next oil change when I'll use one of your suggestionsite on the full oil change. Thank again Tim
  13. I'll have a look on your website Tim. Which oil do Subaru dealers use out of curiosity Tim. And I take it your suggestionsearch are a upgrade on Subarusubaru own oil. Thank you for your help Tim
  14. Hello Mr Oilman. I have a 2012 Subaru Wrx Sti type UK saloon. The car is unmolested no modifications. I just had a full service done last December and have only clocked 500 miles. I don't drive the car hard at all . The has 58000 on the clock. I wanted advice on the very best oil for my car top of the range stuff. Puts my mind at ease if I know I'm keeping my end of the maintenance by using the best oil I can get.
  15. The guys are really good lifetime warranty. If the noise gets to much they will sort it out by adding 4" long silencers but it was ok.
  16. Thank you. £250. It would of been £450 if it was to loud 🔊 but seems ok on the drive home so didn't need any silencers..
  17. Hi just had a muffler delete today and wow what a difference visually and sound wise. The gentleman in the picture of the fabricator Graham of Custom Chrome.
  18. Also known as i believe JCT600 my friend.
  19. Thank you for your help putting my mind at ease. I'm considering buying the same car 2012 Subaru Wrx Sti saloon it only has 22000 miles on it mine has 58000 this one is in white mine is plasma blue. Can't help but feel paranoid about how it's been looked after 3 Subaru stamps 1 from Vauxhall???? And 1 from the dealer itself JCT600 Price Right in Leeds. Ringland issues and all that bugging me fellas.
  20. Scoobyghost hello I'm only getting the sections after the axle replaced. Should look like the images I've added
  21. They did originally quote me £250 but with silencers it's £100 extra per side .
  22. A company called Custom Chrome in Nuneaton. I get the choice of any tips I want and lifetime guarantee. All hand made while i watch.
  23. Don't really want to spend £450 and end up with reduced power. May leave as is. I think the quad tail pipes are too tucked away they needed to be more level with the rear bumper.
  24. Hello Geoff leggy yes just remove the silencers and replace with straight pipes. I believe similar to the Nameless American muffler delete kit.
