I am selling my Limited Edition 1999 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type RA. There was 1000 of this model manufactured and this is number 19 and from what I hear its very rare. Here are some more details about the Type RA (http://www.type-ra.com/subaru-impreza-my99-wrx-type-ra-limited/) Reason for Sale The car has developed a knocking sound from the engine and it needs to be investigated and repaired, the labor involved in this is too much for me to afford at the moment, so its got to go and pay towards a new car. Location - Inchkeith Motors, Edinburgh Rd, Lauder, Scottish Borders TD2 6PA The car is located at the garage where I get it serviced and MOT'd so the buyer can also speak with the mechanics and ask any questions they have about its history with the garage and the current fault. From what I have been told, the oil pressure is still good although there is a little bit of oil which comes out the exhaust. Bad Bits
There is some wear on the drivers seat at the side nearest the door.
There is some rust on the rear drivers side wheel arch (picture attached)
There is some paint damage on the rear bumper (Picture attached).
There is knocking sound from the engine, which could be anything from a piston ring to a big end. The car does still start though.
The Air Conditioning doesn't appear to work, although I am told it just needs the system filled again.
Good Bits
The interior is in good condition apart from the wear on the drivers seat.
Rest of the paintwork and the underside are good.
Recently had the clutch replaced (~1000 miles ago)
Recently had a new power steering pump fitted.
MOT'd until February 2016.
I have the previous documents and V5 document for the car.
The car has a 10 CD Multi-changer.
The car is fitted with TOAD alarm/immobiliser.
There is a spare key for the car.
It has a stainless steel exhaust for 3/4 of the way from the back, so just the manifold and cat which are not stainless steel.
EBC Brakes have been fitted to the front.
Other Notes
I have listed it has having 110,000 miles which is not exact but its around that, I can check the actual mileage if needed.
The car is an import.
The car does still start up and run, although as mentioned there is a knocking sound from the engine. There are no lights on, on the dashboard. I'm no mechanic, so any questions related to the mechanics of the car I might be able to answer although as mentioned its located at the garage where I get it serviced/repaired so you are better to ask them.
In summary its a great opportunity for someone to own one of these rare cars, which are fantastic to drive and with some TLC would be a great car for someone again.
