+1 for this. if i was worried about stone chips i'd go this route as it doesnt spoil the lines of the car.

know some one that bought one of these bras for his car, it was a middle range one and when he took it off after 6 months to clean and polish the full car and found that the bra had actually scratched and worn the paint away undernieth, this is more than likely due to not fitting properly. my view is, why take the risk when the damage done to start with is minimel, unless its a show car.

yeah think i will just keep it as i am keeping the stock bonnet, yes Gambit the Intercooler has indeed be moved to the front as the stock watercooled top mount was removered as the water pump for it had failed, so my mate removed it and fitted a medium sived FMIC behind the grill and in front of the radiator, i'm not 100% happy with the pipe work but i will see how much extra space i have once i have fitted a cone filter and removed whats not needed. like i have said, its a great base for a good project. oh another thing, its running the stock re-circ valve due to the fact that when my mate fitted the Forge DV it huntted on idle, you could see the DV opening and closeing. it would do this for abot 5-10secs and then settle out, i even saw it doing this, we thought faulty DV so he bought another DV and that did the same although that was a re-circ typ and he had it venting to atmosphere. take the DV off and re-fit the stock Re-Circ and all is fine again, any ideas???

oh another question, the bonnet vent on this is for ducting air down to cool the turbo, is this actually needed?????

it needs some welding around the rear arches but thats to be expected of a 20yr old jap car. give it a year and it will look how i want it too, a total shed, but under the bonnet will be immaculate, hopefully ready for JAE 2014.

ok been thinking, i think i am going to get a spare closed deck engine (if i can find one) and then get it rebuilt with high end parts, ie have an engine capable of 500bhp and maybe run it at around 400bhp so its well with-in its capabilities lol

and put the money towards a rebuild with lots of high end parts that i am now planning.

technically i am actually 20 miles west of newcastle lol. plus the tuning company i am planning to use are too based in sunderland lol PS so you are aware i am about as interested in football as i am at parking my scoob up my !Removed! lol

its the pure deffinision of sleeper, it just looks like a farm vechile but jesus it shifts lol. quick question, its running around 9psi atm, he has tried tuning it up and it boosts to 11psi max which i am guessing is the max for a TD04????

oh and the colour is Rover nightfire Red used on their turbo cars like the tomcats and the 620ti and the Vietesse. full professional re-spray at some point as it was originally Subaru boring Green, the paint job was a bare shell re-spray and high quality.

yup plate is worth what i paid for the car almost lol, engine runs sweet with no rattles or squeeks and it had been sat for 2 weeks, turned the key and fired straight up. totally smooth with no smoke. i am well happy. well here it is after a few days of waiting, i have finally got some pics of it. it desperatly needs a clean as its been used as a work vechile by my mechanic mate and the farm he lives by is currently covering it in mud but it should be nice and clean for me to collect it in a little over a week. yeah i paid some-one to do the prim lol, well i say i paid, really the window cleaner did when he dragged a hose across the bonnet and scratched it, would never attempt to do it myself. sounds like you have some good plans for it.

i have heard mixed results about Eclipse, some good some bad, i would recomened them on the basis thati have heard just as many bad as good so 50/50 are not odds i play with.

in theory my base map should still be there since the piggy back would have been the one getting played with, once i actually have the car i am going to take it to my local tuner and see what they say. if i can get my ecu re-mapped and ditch the piggy then i will go that route.

me too, just really really hope its not like most boy hood dream cars, i always fancied a capri 2.0 RS and it was kind of similar to this, i had dream of having one since i was a little kid and then drove one my dad bough a few years back and i hated it, same story with the e36 M3 i once looked at. i am being realistic with this and not expecting alot as its been a little negelected over the last few years, i am not expecting a bullet train but i know its alot quicker than my current S60 due to having been a passenger in it a few times.

i bet most of thous 78 are rally cars as they were very popular for this since they have the closed deck engine.

well that "howmanyleft" site says there are 78 of the Legacy Turbo 4x4's left ut i have never seen another and i have been looking for one for the last 4 years lol. might go up to see it today and do some bits on it and if i do i will grab some piccies.

Right so cat is out the bag, what i am getting is a 1993 Legacy Turbo 4x4, not many left and they are getting rare, now mods i know it has at the mo are Cat-back for that scooby grumble, FMIC its a large one put on to replace a knackered water cooled top mount and a piggy back ecu. that is it, oh and its not in its original colour, its now metalic deep red, oh and its on Impreza 16's. my Plans are to get it checked over buy a tuning company and get it Dyno'd to see what its producing as its got to be up on stock, but its not running 100%, its very rich atm and i fear its down to its had an 05 at somepoint and some-one has either blown it or removed it and replaced it with an 04 and its still mapped for the higher boost levels. time will tell but its going on a dyno on the 2nd June if not sooner. Pics to follow once i have collected her.

i hate to say this but i am not a fan of the bonnet, unlessyou plan on doing the roof and boot too and this comes from some one that recently owned this and i still have this n the process of being broken lol, by the way that carbon wrap pn the bonnet, boot and roof.

think i will need to get this looked at by a professional at some point lol
