Wing mirror
MR B you are a hero! Thank you for the info. They are looking like hen's teeth unfortunately. I have managed to bodge it into place, it is actually going into the garage today as CD auto changer didn't work from purchase so might get them to fill/glue with apoxy resin (or the correct spelling) as a temp fix. At least now I know what I'm after. cheers guys

Wing mirror
Yup. I need some help with a part number though. I have seen a 2003 mirror but it doesn't seem to be right. Mine has the indicator built in and I can't see that is does.

Wing mirror
So I came home to this! I have a 210 bhp 2005 forester xt I've had it a month if that so no idea if it's heated or anything but the wing mirrors is fine. It has been ripped off where it attached to the a pillar. I need some help with a part number and maybe a part to ASAP. So angry!

Odd immobiliser issue.
Cheers Alex, I will have to try and jump in quicker/time it but I don't imagine I'm taking 30 seconds to get in. We shall see! I found that if I just push the button on the key when it's in the ignition it blips the electrics and then will fire up so actually if not as you suggest is not bad for an anti theft device lol. WRT the red button, if I switch it then it lights up red and the wipers work on intermittent, even with the engine off. Don't know why you would want this but I guess it goes hand in hand with parking lights.

Odd immobiliser issue.
My 2005 xt 2.5 seems to be having a funny problem. When I get in it won't start unless I lock and unlock the doors with the key and then it starts fine. Any ideas? Also whilst on the subject of quirks there is a small red button about the hole for the keypad on the right below the fog lights. Any idea what that is for? Cheers all Pezzer

Buying my Forester
I think I've found a winner. Does anyone have any knowledge of this dealer or see anything I should be worried about with this one? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201605254315357/sort/atcustom/radius/1501/make/subaru/model/forester/price-from/6000/price-to/7000/page/1/adPos/5/postcode/pr77bf/usedcars Cheers Pezzer

Buying my Forester
Also looking at this one but auto. Not normally keen but some recommendation on auto against manual would be helpful. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201606235188087/sort/atcustom/radius/1501/make/subaru/model/forester/price-from/5500/price-to/7000/page/1/adPos/1/postcode/pr77bf/usedcars

Buying my Forester
Thanks guys, I'm based near Birmingham so Lingfield is a bit far, especially considering the lack of transport since the Audi died. I'm wondering if there are any other examples out there you might know if as I'm normally just an autotrader search kind of guy. Pezzer

Buying my Forester
Hi everyone. Hopefully you guys can help me buy my new car. I'm looking at a 2.5 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201604183085482/sort/atcustom/radius/1501/make/subaru/model/forester/price-from/6000/price-to/7000/page/1/adPos/2/postcode/pr77bf/usedcars I've wanted a Forester for years and a divorce and Audi explosion now puts me in the market. I'm after a manual but this looks pricey and I don't know how to tell if not the fastest model when an '05 plate. It will do 3000 miles a year if lucky so I want to enjoy those miles. Any help/advice would be appreciated! Cheers Pezzer
