  1. Thanks for the reply, have attached some photos. The wheels are standard Subaru as fitted to the 2.0 Legacy SE 18 x 71/2 J Offset 55 Hopefully the pics will help identify the calipers, it doesn't say Brembo on them, so I guess that means they aren't.
  2. Erm ... I guess I'll need to whizz a wheel off to see that? I'll do that in the morning.
  3. Hi all, recently bought a 2.0 D SE Legacy "sports tourer" (estate as they used to be called haha) In the wheel well in the boot, is a mysterious bottle of gunk and a compressor, which I'd like to replace with a spacesaver spare wheel (for now, I'd rather have a full sized spare) The only spacesaver wheels I can find are 16" ones, my car has 18" wheels, the ad for the spacesaver says it is acceptable to use a 16" in an emergency ... Is it really though? Is he just saying that to sell me a wheel? Any help would be appreciated, have got a lot of miles to do over Christmas and would like the confidence of having an actual wheel rather than the bottle of whatever in the boot!
  4. Hi Mark, first time Subaru owner here too, after seeing that pic am thinking I might have liked the Impreza instead I bet I must know you, I've been a Doorman in Chester (next to the canal) for 26 or so years
  5. Hi all, Aaron, North Wales ... Recently bought my first Japanese car ever, always fancied a Subaru, saw a 2012 Legacy SE 2.0D, drove it, loved it, bought it! After 10 years in an LR Discovery TD5 it feels fast, very fast. I reckon it really did save the life of myself and my partner too, I was doing around 80 overtaking on a motorway, so was in the middle lane, LWB van in front completely lost control and went swerving from the inside lane to the middle right in front of us, I stamped hard on the brakes, quick check in the mirror and out into the 3rd lane and accelerated away out of trouble. If I'd done that in my Lanny, I reckon it would have been on it's roof or in the central reservation, something nasty certainly, it would have pitched and rolled all over the place, despite being well maintained and set up. So, that's me still alive and happy enough with my new motor!
