  1. Well after thinking I was making head way with my Scooby im thoroughly annoyed. found someone to repaint the bonnet, roof, boot and spoiler as the prev owner made a complete hash of it, I whent to sunderland to collect it today and drop the pajero off as that's having some tarting up done to it. to find that the wing had had a paint reaction so it has to go back up there to be done again......on the plus side he is referbing my wheels for me for free because of it. then on the way back the speedo cable snaps off in the gearbox (now have to try get that out somehow) check engine light comes on and stays on....after checking the codes im getting 23,24,31,33. 23 is maff sensor....doubt this as it was new when I put new engine in. 24 is 24 Idle Control System Malfunction 24 ISC Valve (Stick) 24 Open/Short in ISC Valve Circuit don't know what the second 2 are but the first could be linked to the maff. 31 Throttle Position Sensor Circuit 33 Vehicle Speed Sensor all could be linked and the ecu is just throwing a fit as I done a reset on the ecu and it then just came up with 31 and 33 what do you guys think
  2. hmm im not sure to be honest but I would suspect that you will have extra sensors on the dohc engine and these would be picked up by the ecu. so to be safe I would buy the same engine as your taking out m8.
  3. very nice mate
  4. do what I did mate if all the sensors was working on yours swap them over, swap the spark plugs and coil pack over, check the timing belt, renew while engine out. if renewing change the water pump at the same time. that's my advice.
  5. lol and omg poor car
  6. that made me laugh when he said we put it in and saw what broke. wish I had the money to do that.

I really cant believe the childishness of other drivers!!!! so im out in my Scooby and pull up at the traffic lights....... 2.0 golf turbo diesel pull up next to me and start giving my 11 year old daughter evils...... lights turn green and he spins his wheels and shoots off at warp factor -100. omg ive never laughed so much in my life, even my daughter !Removed! her self laughing. so that was incident 1. then go get my Scooby yesterday from my mates workshop after he had sealed all the exhaust system for me........ silver golf again....... is in front off me and starts doing the w****r sign out the window then speeds off and disappears swerving all over the road and nearly hitting a lorry coming the other way. I then caught up with him as he was behind a stream of traffic....I then got the same sign from him just before he turned of down a different road. what is it with ppl??????
  10. yes I do im afraid. it must be the worst sound for a Scooby owner as its not an easy place to get to as it requires a full engine strip.
  11. who doesn't get mixed up with inspection holes Pete ;) ;)
  12. it sounded like that just before it got real bad as I was driving down the motorway not when I brought it
  13. you have to know what aftermarket first lol
  14. sounds like mine, when it went. mine was bigends ive just replaced the engine on mine
  15. ive been ringing loads of ppl about getting my ecu on my 95 wrx remapped and everyone says you cant remap the oem ecu, don't know if they are trying to fob me off by trying to get me to part with more money on a new ecu, but its abit funny how they are all saying it.
  16. ive just done it on mine, you undo the allen key screw cap from where taffy has said but you need to release the pressure from the fork by undoing the slave cylinder then use a bolt as stated above to screw into the pin and then pull it out. hope this helps
  17. oops sound like it m8, must be the month for it as ive just had to replace my engine.
  18. if its good I would spend the money and put some part worns on it to get it through the mot, as by doing this it could go for over a grand. that's what id do if it was mine.
