New tyres today

My 2022 outback 2.5 petrol had a puncture today on the factory Bridgestones at 21,000 miles. Seemed like a good enough excuse to buy four cross climate 3 tyres, with mobile fitting came to £816. OUCH!

That code can have many causes - cat needing replacement is just one. Bad fuel, air leaks, bad earths, MAF/MAP, bad sensors etc. I would not change cat/s based solely on this evidence (P0420).

Catalytic converter for 2008 Subaru Impreza

Engine lights are on and has the following.
The error code is P0420 - catalyst system below threshold .
The front and rear oxygen sensors are switching at the same time
