  2. Hi guys, Getting a bit of an omen with this car.... Started up and drove down the road to work car park. Locked and unlocked a few times in about 15 mins as I was loading stuff in. Got in, went to start- nothing. Wouldn't turn at all. Recovery guy came out. Started car with 2nd ignition on and bridging the "exciter" connector with the live to the starter motor. Managed to get home fine. Alarm and everything else works fine as should. Subaru dealership have said it sounds like an alarm problem, it'll take up to 2 weeks to get parts after testing if it is that and will cost between 8-900 quid to do!! Does anyone know anything or anyone that can help or replace with a different immobiliser or anything at all please?!!? Thanks Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  3. I used redex in my old Celica VVTL-I every few months just for peice of mind. I've used it I'm my 2006 Scooby a couple of times already wouldn't say you'd notice a different in performance or response really apart from smoother running on tick over and possibly pulling away. If you're maintanence conscious and like being as preventative as possible, I'd say every few months won't hurt. Evening you're using premium fuel, at least you have price of mind knowing you've done what you can 😃 Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  4. Hi guys, Does anyone know if there is a manual switching nut on the headlight housing to adjust the headlights for driving on European roads please? It looks as though there is a manual adjusting nut on the housing but this may be just for the height as is and don't want to touch it cos have electric adjuster in car anyway. I am driving to Munich in a few weeks and am not keen on putting those pony stickers on the headlights. I have an Impreza WRX STI type UK 2006 blobeye version. Thanks advance! 7. Subaru Impreza WRX STI type UK 2006 blobeye. Currently 44k miles Started car this morning, abs light stayed on but no error code on obd reader. Didn't come on or anything yesterday. Have been using as a daily, so the occasional foot down but no harsh braking. Any pointers please? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  8. Hi all. not long bought a 2006 Impreza WRX STI UK type (unconfirmed prodrive) with the bigger Brembo brakes all round. The front discs do need changing as there's about 5 minutes of lip on them both. Rear discs are fine and pads all round are about half worn. Want to know people opinions/recommendations about whether it's worth sticking to blank faced discs or getting vented. Not too keen on drilled or vented and dimpled/drilled as don't see much point if I'm not tracking it, just fast road use. I don't want to go cheap but equally dont need to go over the top. I've seen some ok priced mintex sets on eBay but just want to know what people's experiences are etc. Also what size to look for front and rear if people know please. Seen a lot of 326mm size for brembo sets of my model type floating around. Any advice much appreciated, thanks Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
