I've got 18s on my bg5. Current tyres on it are 215/40/18. Anyone know if 225/40/18s will fit? Or how much they'd rub if they don't? Just need a cheap temporary solution so it's running on legal tread again.

I've got 17's on and I've got 225/4517 and they're fine. Some people have rubbing on the rears and the arches need rolling but it's easy todo.when I went from 215 to 225 it was a vast improvement, I am using Goodyear's latest tire which is just as good in the wet as in the dry and highly recommended

Thanks, that seems a bit more promising. It's just a case of needing something legal tread-wise, even if there is some slight rub on full lock or whatever, that I can readily get part worn just to tide me over for a month or so.
