Ahead of the release of the new Outback in April, I thought I'd post a few early reviews up here. General consensus seems to be its an improvement on the 4th gen model.

Sadly, the 3,6L petrol unit has been dropped from the range; the 2 engine options are now a 2.0D (manual or auto) and a 2.5 petrol auto unit.

If you're lucky enough to own one, please feel free to post your own reviews here  :D

Shame there's no 3.6ltr or 3ltr models anymore. Those 3ltr engines are pretty solid, which makes me wonder why they wouldn't offer a 3ltr version?

Any stats on the 2.5 petrol version? Is it non turbo?

Emmissions !

Emissions are actually remarkably low for the 2.5 lump....£180 tax bracket band for the petrol, which amazed me to be honest

That will be why they dumped the 3.6 though.....the 3.0l went back in 2009
