david1972 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Ahead of the release of the new Outback in April, I thought I'd post a few early reviews up here. General consensus seems to be its an improvement on the 4th gen model. Sadly, the 3,6L petrol unit has been dropped from the range; the 2 engine options are now a 2.0D (manual or auto) and a 2.5 petrol auto unit. If you're lucky enough to own one, please feel free to post your own reviews here :D http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/subaru/outback/estate/ http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/subaru/outback/90140/new-subaru-outback-2015-review http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/subaru/outback/ http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/subaru/outback/first-drives/2015-subaru-outback-20d-se-premium-lineartronic-review http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/subaru-outback-review-first-drive-2015-01-23
tom_gr7 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Shame there's no 3.6ltr or 3ltr models anymore. Those 3ltr engines are pretty solid, which makes me wonder why they wouldn't offer a 3ltr version? Any stats on the 2.5 petrol version? Is it non turbo?
david1972 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Yes, non-turbo, 0-60 of 9.9s, 37mpg claimed, CVT automatic transmission

david1972 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Emissions are actually remarkably low for the 2.5 lump....£180 tax bracket band for the petrol, which amazed me to be honest That will be why they dumped the 3.6 though.....the 3.0l went back in 2009 Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
david1972 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Lol no check edit haha Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
stants Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Haha I did wonder thought the legacy lobe was pulling the wool over my eyes [emoji16]
