Vacuum pipe - where to?

Featured Replies

HI,

Hoping someone can help. Whilst having a look over the engine bay today I found the part in the photo with a cut off hose you can see in the pic, and the pipe which comes out of the bottom doesn't go to anywhere...is this right? If not can someone help with where it should terminate?

This is on a 2000 Subaru Forester 2ltr S/tb import.

Thanks

Looks like it's either an aftermarket boost controller or a part of the boost solinoid but looks the wrong shape. Top port should go towards turbo and bottom hose goes to the intake I think.

Do you have a bigger picture showing the surrounding gubbins ?

Edit..

Just found this pic of mine

Thanks for the reply :-)

Had a closer look and it's for the boost controller mounted under the dash. No wonder it doesn't work!
