Will the 17" alloy wheels from 2005 Forester XT fit the 2005 Legacy spec B please?.

The Legacy has 18" wheels but Low Profile tyres.

I have a set of alloys from my old Forester which have almost new 215/55/17Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tyres fitted.

Thanks

I guess so, what does the sticker say on the door jamb re rim sizes available ? The legacy uses a 55mm offset and the foz is 48mm

Haven't  seen the Legacy yet so wasn't sure of the offset of the wheels.

Will have to double check because if the offset for the Legacy should be 55 mm then 48 mm offset of the Foz wheels may catch on the struts etc.

Thanks

It's the other way round, the 48's will sit further away from the centre, I know the 55's won't clear the foz rear struts without spacers. Which is annoying as the foz is the only one to use this offset

So wheels with a  48mm offset will slightly increase the width of the track by @ 7mm each side..

Interesting, as long as they don't stick out past the wheel arch they may improve the ability to clear some of the 100's of speed humps around here.

To be honest it's something I don't really understand much about, just found out that the impreza/legacy wheels cause rubbing on the forester due to the offset being greater on them than the foz. I guess you'd have that extra couple of mm clearance
