Trailer Lighting Connection

Hi,

 

I would like to know if anybody has ever attached a trailer lighting cable to their legacy? Is there a dedicated plug available and if so, where is it, and where can I get a suitable adapter?

 

The reason for my question is that I've bought one of those lighting boards to put on the back of the car when I put several bikes on the back and it comes with a 7-pin round black plug, typical of small trailers. I need an adapter cable which this 7-pin plug attaches to and which gets the lighting signals from the car electrics.

hi, sorry bout late reply (been v busy) but i had a towbar fitted with twin electrics. the trailer connection you need was a 'universal fit' type which meant it was fitted by the use of botch locks, this caused no end of trouble . so in the end i bought the subaru dedicated 12n electrics . absolute breaze to fit with instructions . this does require you to strip out most of the boot area but with proper subi plugs it litery does just plug and play. bought from sgpetch.co.uk . hope this helps
