I've got Termignoni exhausts on the Ducati so it does sound nice, especially when it's popping on the overrun.

I totally agree BoozyDave. It's more about hazard awareness and driving to limit points. On public roads if you can't stop before both sides of the road converge at the vanishing point you're going too fast. Sometimes that's way over the speed limit and sometimes it's well below. Which is where this zero tolerance bulls**t becomes more about money making than applying common sense and safety.
