Back in a Subaru

Hi all.

Just a few lines to say hello, I'm back in a Subaru after a gap of a few years.

My first was a new classic in 2001 - which was a bit too basic and harsh for my family, so it didn't hang around for long!

After a ten year gap, I bought a P1 - which I enjoyed for a full 20 minutes until the engine blew up on the way home from the dealers! Fortunately, the dealer played ball and provided an immediate and full refund.

I gave them a rest for a while after that until I bought a 2004 WRX which I restored to a very high standard and enjoyed for a while until I moved into a city and started getting harassed by the police and boy racers!

Fell in love with the 2014 WRX STi when it came out but at the time there was no dealer within 50 miles! Earlier this year, we got a dealer and so I decided to invest last month in a 2016 model - chose something other than blue, to try and reduce the unwanted attention. Working so far.

All looking mint too shame about the p1 they've held good value for sometime now too :(

So hows the 2014 feeling better than the older grandads :)

The latest car is much more grown up and has just about everything that you need - and that I was used to - and could just about be a daily driver, whereas the older cars - whilst I liked them, I couldn't have driven them every day, particularly the old classic.

I've bought the STi to use sparingly against my 2014 qashquai - which is much easier on my old bones every day :-)
