Finally getting a legacy!!HELP

Featured Replies

Hi ive finally got a legacy...

Picking up a b4 twin turbo saloon end of the month.

Only problems ive been told with the car are the clutch has started to slip in auto but when in triptonic its fine.. is it just a simple clutch change and be done with it or is it something more serious?

Welcome!

Glad to see another TT owner or potential owner here.

It will be the torque converter if its an auto.  I would be cautious.  The first thing to check is the fluid level.

Has the car been tuned to more than standard BHP?

Its standard bhp.. so i should avoid it then?

Paying nothing doing a swap for my mondeo v6

2002 02 reg mondeo slighty modded its worth about £1300 with all the mods... straight swap for legacy tt only problems are the slippy cutch in automode has a missfire.

You might get lucky you might not, I think its that simple.  Best case is new fluid and plugs.  Worst case is, well.........

If your not afraid about doing the potential work then its probably a fair swap.

Yer im.gona leave it for now bloke wants £800 cash for it and ive decided im not willing to do a straight swap...as my mondeos almost mint.. ill just save up and buy a decent no problems legacy
