janoyvind
Hi new here. just been told at the garage that I cant buy the center prop shaft carrier on it's own, and that I need to get a complete new prop shaft. I've found a place in Poland that supplies a carrier but they list it for a 2003 model, I've got a 2002 Outback 3.0 H6. Any ideas if it will fit on my car, or does anyone know I can get one in the UK? Many thanks, Jan.
mart360
Just had a look through my 2003 service manual gives very little info on the propshaft, other than removal and check for play Mart
janoyvind
Mine has lots of play in it, hence the need for a new carrier, might just try the one from Poland and hope for the best.
savage bulldogs
Think that's the first post about a subaru propshaft being worn I've come across. They don't often fail so it could be worth checking rear diff mounts to see if they've caused the problem (excessive movement ) and it might be cheaper trying to source a second hand prop from a reputable breakers. If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
