What exhaust is this?

Featured Replies

Closest I can say from that pic is a round one on a Subaru...

I'd hazard a guess at something like an afterburner

Haha, I get it, It is a bit of a broad question. I just thought someone might know by the looks.

However, it turns out you are right! I went onto a subie parts site and tried to compare exhausts. Turns out it's an Afterburner of some sort. Sound pretty good and not super loud like some of them :)

Yep its an afterburner vortex, angled version. They have two styles, straight and angled.

Got one one my blob wrx and !Removed! love it :)

Gives a nice rumble I have to say. If I don't buy an STi with one, I will get one!

Quick question. My exhaust is blowing a little and i was wondering if i used exhaust wrap, would my car pass its MOT with it on??

  • Author

Ermm.. Depends on how picky the MOT guy is. But otherwise, if it's covering the hole then it might be a blag :D

Depends where the blow is. Anywhere near the engine and no amount off gungum is gonna hold the pressure. Wrap it, let it set and. Poodle around the emission test is only up to 3500rpm so should get through the mot.

Well, ill give it a go and see how it goes. Its only till next month till i get paid to replace the part (Y) I hope to god it passes cause i cant afford **** at the moment -_-
