Hi people finally got myself an Impreza WRX bugeye.

Got a couple of questions for you all as I'm looking to do a few mods. I'm new to the turbo world so be gentle haha.

I'm looking to get a blow off valve. I've seen some universal ones for around £45 and then I've seen some for £150. What's the difference?

I have a receipt saying the car has a decat down pipe. How can I check this?

Also I'm after some fog light covers. Where can I get these from?

cheers

A universal dump valve will need an adaptor to fit, best get one designed for the Impreza. Be careful as some people have running issues after fitting a dump valve.

If you look at the downpipe off the turbo and it has a casing around it, it will be the catalyst. If it is just a smooth or wrapped pipe it will be a decat.

Keep a look out on eBay, as fog light covers come up on there, or the owners forums. Welcome, Good luck and enjoy :)

Hi and welcome. I have a GFB Deceptor on my scooby I have had no issues however they are not cheap. I read somewhere that if you are going to add one it needs to be of good quality I personally wouldn't use a universal but I have only had my car 10 days lol.

Welcome to the club! I have the GFB Respons which is an adjustable BOV (can select between fully atmo, fully recirc or anywhere in between). Mine is set to around 90% atmo as having it at 100% results in some clunky gear changes due to it running rich... a small amount of recirc cures it.
