I'm looking at my first Subaru, a gen 4 legacy and was after some advice

I want the gen 4 as I love the look of them so much but I'm unsure of which model/engine to get

I intend to modify the looks as I go but more importantly I will be looking for some decent power, so theres the question of engine.

I see most of the engines are fairly powerful but I was wondering what engine people would recommend, I'm looking to go into 300bhp plus and need reliability and strength, being a Subaru newbie I'm really at the mercy of the more experienced so any advice is welcome!

I would assume manual is the way to go but I'm not completely against automatic if they are any good at taking extra power? please advise

There's one very short answer...........twinscroll baby!!

Up to 320-330bhp with stock equipment. £6kish +  and you may have to wait to find a good one. Manual would be the way if you can find a good one.
