2010 Forrester SH with genuine Subaru brakes but as I only use the car occasionally I find the brakes poor compared to my other vehicle, it seems the pads don't have enough stopping power to give me confidence in them.

 

Does anyone know of any upgraded pads they could recommend

Plenty of views on this subject - I like EBC - dont go for the £20 option as whilst they are great pads for general driving they heat up and fade quickly after a few miles of spirited driving.

Mintex ones I found great but wore out too fast

Black diamond gave good performance and reasonable longevity

Consider replacing your brake lines with braided items and giving your system a flush through with 5.1 fluid also
