Hi guys just bought myself a turbo 2000 my 1St Scooby. Iv got it apart already doing timing belt, water pump and other maintenance jobs etc so not gone to crazy with it yet, looking forward to going for a spin soon.

Hi and welcome :) would love to have the knowledge and confidence to be able to do all that stuff! Lots of good info on here though, showed someone else with a uk2000 I used to work with last week how to show fault codes even though check engine light is off and without any tools :)

Yeah iv wanted one for ages, I plan keeping her forever tbh. It's was a 1 owner unmolested car and I couldn't turn it down really. It's got the common rust on rear arches but I'm going to have some fun with her before I get that sorted.

The cel check is one of the first things I tell people. Save 60 odd quid taking it to a garage. There is a topic on the forum showing you how to do it and shows all the error codes.

Welcome to S.O.C We use Opioils @oilman aka Tim they will let you know exactly what you need. 75w-90 at a guess for your car would be fine though.
