October 23, 20169 yr @aucky fixed. Removed the lid completely 6 screws to take underside of lid off. 1 screw holds the top of the lid on after that's removed. Left with a metal hinge still attached , if you can remove the back section of the trim between passenger foot wells, I couldn't get it off so had to bend the top back, there's 3 screws holding the hinge in place. All had come a tiny bit loose. Half turn on each jammed it down solid. Rebuilt and now it latches . You can still pull the lid up with a little force but it's just bendy thin plastic but atleast now it doesn't spend all its time bouncing around or popping up.
