Hi everyone. I have a question

think it's a fairly common problem. My engine warning light came on and she checked it said it was the secondary air pump. Having asked around I've been told different advice and just wondering what the best option is

turn the light off permnagely and leave it at that, as not important

remove and fix pump

remove and replace with blanking plates

who else has this happened too and what did you do? Thanks

I replaced the pump, then 18 months later the light came back on so I took it back to the garage. They said there was nothing wrong with the pump. After loads of messing around I got it mapped out. I left everything as it was under the bonnet because I wanted to leave the car standard. Touch wood everything's been great since
