Well, long story short. When bought car it had too much oil in it. Went to drain a little, dropped the sump bolt and all the oil came out. It's late Sunday so can't get a filter. Got spare oil so just filled it back up. It was serviced earlier this year and done less than 3000 miles so I'm not too worried about the filter. How long should I wait to change the filter? I know I'll have to change the oil again which doesn't bother me but I don't want to wreck the engine.
