Hi I have a 2007  2.5 wrx, it kicks out the turbo-supercharger sonenoid code and the engine coughs when i boot it. can anyone advise on this please

The boost solenoid can be cleaned with electrical contact cleaner ,so I'd start with that and a visual check for cracks/leaks on the vacuum lines running to it .

 

Make sure you take note where the vacuum lines go before removing them,make sure the excess cleaner has dried out before refitting the solenoid and reset the ecu before test driving afterwards .

Thank you, after starting the car 2 times the engine code clears by itself after coming on and there is no record in the code history.
