annascoob Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 On Impreza WRX 2002 wagon, Any help please - 4 days ago engine management light came on and went off when driving steady but short distance stuck! Took to garage they said all fine it was rear diff pressure monitor and all cleared down nothing wrong £100 quid lighter! Today engine management light came on again and stayed on and we have since brought an OBD II reader and it came up as P1086 - Tumble generator valve #2 (LH) position sensor circuit low input. Taken it straight to garage this am. Have done some internet research and seems it may be the tumble valve sensor knackered or valve itself stuck. I am supposed to be doing a road trip this weekend it's now Wednesday and wondering if anyone else has had this fault, what was it and how long did it take to sort it out?
annascoob Posted August 17, 2017 Author Posted August 17, 2017 The garage mech has said it is the induction in,etc turbo pipe that someone has just pushed INSIDE the turbo causing air intake from outside!
Mark D Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 'If it fits...' :| I guess they quickly took off the duct tape holding it together before selling! All running well now? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
annascoob Posted August 18, 2017 Author Posted August 18, 2017 Big shout out to Nippon spares in derby (import car parts specialists) as they shipped the part to Devon for nothing on a 9am delivery! Should be getting scoob back this afternoon - plus a large hole in the husbands wallet for diagnostics and labor. Then off on road trip up the M5 to the midlands on Sunday so will get to test scoob out on flat bendless roads (well compared with deepest Devon anyway) ooooooo dual carriage ways too! Infurstructure down here in terrible at times.

annascoob Posted August 18, 2017 Author Posted August 18, 2017 Way hey - got scoob back at 6 tonight. Wow different car! Running as sweet as so the road trip is on! Took her straight out on the Atlantic highway and the turbo actually works now!
