Would like to do an oil change on my SG 2.5xt forester. I’ve done alot or research and i am now so confused i have no idea what grade to use! 

114000 miles on the car. 10w40 or 5w40 or ???????

Your manual should tell you

Check pages 11-10 through -15 in your owner's manual. Subaru says 5W-30 is "preferred", and that 10W-30 or 10W-40 is OK for ambient temperatures above 0F.
