alex.davison3@yahoo.co.uk
Hello everyone I have recently had my rear pads and discs changed on my 2001 awd gx and in the process the abs sensor ring on the nearside has broken therfore the abs light is on blah blah. Myproblem is that new rings are aa lot and I was thinking of buying a nearside rear hub from a braker and using the ring off that. My question is does anyone know if I have to buy one specific to my model or are they all the same. Also if any one knows of any where I can get this that would be much appreciated. Thanks

Gambit
Welcome mate what I would do 1st mate is try some Subaru breaker's give them a ring. I can't see why one from another model i.e WRX would not work, but would not want to put my life on that. So hope some details to some breakers will be more helpful to you. Best people to try these that I know of. Will try get you some more when I have a bit more time. alex.davison3@yahoo.co.uk
It appears that this is a common problem. A number of breakers I have tried dont seem to have them. Just have to wait until one comes up. Thanks for the help guys
Gambit
:( Sorry to hear that mate Keep checking eBay as well, only other place is a main dealer but would say will cost a bit if it's common :( I rang up about a Hub and bearing £165 think it was I didn't think was a bad price at all Front N/s. So worth a shot But feel free to post some picture's up I like picture's :D
alex.davison3@yahoo.co.uk
Ok I have done some research and found a breaker that will sell me a abs ring for 10 pounds. Result. But he says in orderto fit the new ring I have to split the bearing behind the hub. And a new one will cost me 75 pounds. Is this right. Kwikfit have agreed to carry out this repair still so hopefully all will go according to plan.
alex.davison3@yahoo.co.uk
How do I post pics btw Cheers
Gambit
£75 is that with part's and fitting I.e the bearing. And your buying the abs sensor to be fitted at the same time? I would say that was a good price. More shocked that was from Kwikfit think my mate charged me the same just to change a bearing. Meant to be at mate's rates that too :D be having a ring round next time then having words with him lol. So if it is what I put at the start yeah would say that is good. But would ring round some other places if you get time, and then tell Kwikfit you found it a bit cheaper they will try match the price. Did when I wanted a backbox fitting on an old Escort I had And for photo's upload pictures to http://imageshack.us/ or http://beta.photobucket.com/ And then copy Direct link from the site you chose to upload the picture to. Come back here and at the top where you type the message is a little picture icon, click that paste the link in there. And then post bada-bing bada-boom picture should show up like this :D
