I have a impreza wrx blobeye 2003, decat straight to a (tiny) box with twin exits. On idle at say traffic lights they smoke up like !Removed! and you can smell what seems like oil and fuel but smoke colour is white. I assumed this was because of the decat. I know on idle it does 0.6% co2 and rev 1.5%+. Only does it now and again whilst in motion, usually after boosted.

It also uses a bit of oil every so often but coolant levels are spot on and no junk on oil cap so don't think it's head gasket but haven't done a compression test or anything.

Am I being paranoid or is it just because I have next to nout stopping my lovely jap fumesd4c0d9eba9617e8f7ab8d5c11e3bba44.jpg

I did have, but it does drink tons of fuel. Don't want to have to get it remapped AGAIN. It's not cheap :(

No its not but if its drinking gallons your best off getting it looked at to see if it is rich/lean. Think of the fuel money if its drinking it. Could be nothing wrong with it and maybe the outside temp doing it.

Sorry I'm late to the party.

My classic started running extremely rich. It bore washed and the oil was very thin. Fortunately I did go for a Dyno when noticing something untoward. The afr was so rich it was off the scale. Turned out to be the MAF. I switched that and had it mapped again. All good since.

For the cost of a Dyno, I'd say go get it checked atleast. Keep an eye on your oil and if it's smoking, I wonder if your oil is already thinned and seeping past seals. The end result is a lot more costly than a diagnostic Dyno and possible remap.
