Can annyone help me please? Iv just purchased a 1999 type r , cant understand why theres no way of checking a 9 digit vin number in the uk , to prove its a type r, the model number is a type r but how can i check a japanese vin number?

2 doors , and the model code says its a 1999 type r, but the dvla have the car listed as a wrx sti only , so how do i get sufficient evidence to prove its a type r using the vin number

2 door import is one of only 2 cars. a type R or 22b, wont be a 22b (trust me you;d know if you had one) so can tell you 100% it will be a Type R. Sounds like its be registered wrong at the DVLA, which isnt uncommon.

100% a type R, version wise its either a 5 or 6, can you show a pic of the rear spoiler?
