Hi guys just a quick question I have an 06 WRX, today I noticed the handbrake light and battery light coming on when I accelerate quite hard, anyone any ideas my first thought was the alternator was on its way out, am I correct in thinking this (the brake fluid is fine)

You can test the alternator with a multimeter. With the car running, the battery should read 14v... could be a loose or dodgy connection somewhere.

Update. Alternator reading as should, 14v, not done it since that day. So maybe loose connection as you say
