New with a 2008 Forester XT...and some questions

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just bought a 2008 Forester XT with only 40K miles on the clock.  It seems like a really good car.  Unfortunately I live at the end of a very rough farm track which is more like a riverbed.  The Forester copes with it well unloaded but I'm concerned that when the weather gets worse and I load it up that it might ground out in a few places.  I was thinking of installing a 2" lift kit and have seen the Subielift Oz kit on You Tube. Has anyone had any experience with this kit and part from the reported extra wear on the cv joints are there any other negatives?

Thanks

Wotcha and welcome - dont remember anything being posted wrt this before but given your situation I would do the same and keep an eye on tyre wear, tracking etc
